ABN's World Vision Family
In 2004, ABN commenced its commitment to child sponsorship through World Vision. Since then, we have sponsored an additional child each year and are very proud of our “extended family” which has grown to include:
- "Guerby" from Haiti;
- "Kady" from Senegal;
- "Borin" from Cambodia;
- "Dipa" from Nepal; and
- "Fredy" from Peru.
About Child Sponsorship
Child Sponsorship helps to provide the basic essentials such as clean drinking water, enough food to eat, basic healthcare and the chance for your sponsored child to go to school.
World Vision pool contributions from sponsors with that of other sponsors to fund community projects like digging of wells, training in improved farming methods and building health clinics to benefit the children, their families and entire communities. The best way to change a child's life is to change the world in which they live. And, the best way to change their world is to help their community to build a self-sufficient and sustainable environment in the long-term.
