Bookkeeper-Client Connect
In A Nutshell
Bookkeeper-Client Connect allows ABN members and their clients to transfer computer files of any size through a secure web interface. Each of your clients can be set up with their own username and password. You can also create accounts for staff members and accountants that you have dealings with. We even provide you with instructions on integrating Bookkeeper-Client Connect into your own web site if you have one. Bookkeeper-Client Connect brings great efficiencies to your business and minimises the downtime and travel costs associated with more traditional means of exchanging files. Getting Started
Simply log-in to the Member’s Area of the ABN Website. In the left-hand pane, you will find a “Quick Link” to Bookkeeper-Client Connect. Once this is clicked, your very own Bookkeeper-Client Connect interface will launch. In the bottom right of the screen, a Help link will launch an easy-to-read User Guide containing simple instructions and screen shots. Then it is simply a matter of setting up accounts for clients, staff members and accountants and you can begin sending and receiving computer files securely.

Professional Indemnity & Public Liability Insurance
In A Nutshell
Professional Indemnity (P.I.) insurance indemnifies the professional bookkeeper from losses suffered by third parties due to negligence, error, failure or mistake on the bookkeeper’s part. Third parties could include clients, lenders, investors or creditors.
ABN members can access P.I. cover that is the best value and most complete in the country. Our policy covers your general bookkeeping activities including work with off-the-shelf accounting software and training. Importantly, it also covers BAS services that are legally rendered by BAS Agents under the Tax Agent Services Act. Public Liability cover can be packaged with P.I. insurance at inexpensive rates.

Cost
The cost of cover will vary depending on the amount of cover you require, your claims history and the State in which you operate (as stamp duty rates vary by State).
