Introduction

ABN is always looking for ways to leverage its ever growing membership base to bring new and improved services to its members and their clients.

ABN has used its combined buying power to strategically partner with telecommunication wholesalers Lion Telecom. Through this strategic partnership, we have been able to negotiate substantial reductions in both landline and internet rates from the two big carriers, Telstra and Optus.

This page explains how both ABN Members and their clients can take advantage of this exciting service offering.

Key Benefits to ABN Members & Their Clients

The ABN – Lion Telecom Strategic Partnership carries with it five key benefits for ABN Members and their clients. Please click the links with each of the following points for detailed information on each.

  1. There are genuine cost savings for ABN Members and their clients;
  2. The service available to ABN Members and their clients is no less than they would receive from either of the two big carriers, Telstra and Optus;
  3. It is a simple process to adopt the service;
  4. There is no service disruption to ABN Members or their clients if they choose to use the service; and
  5. ABN Members earn an ongoing referral fee for any clients referred to Lion Telecom.
Getting Started
 
It is a simple and quick three step process to get started:
  1. Read the Lion Telecom – Outline of Offering. This document includes further valuable details about the Lion Telecom offering to ABN Members.
  2. Complete the Application to Become a Lion Telecom Referrer. This form captures all of the information we need in order to pay referral fees to you.
  3. Refer clients who you think would like the opportunity to save money on their telecommunications. The next section, “Referring Clients”, explains exactly how to do so.
Referring Clients
 
Have a think about your existing clientele and identify those clients who you think would like the opportunity to save money on their telecommunications. Then follow this easy process:
  1. Approach your client and tell them about ABN’s Lion Telecom offering. You might like to use the Client Flyer as a framework for introducing the concept to them.
  2. Ask your client whether they would like you to arrange a complimentary, obligation-free report showing their indicative savings through Lion Telecom.
  3. Email or fax your client’s most recent telephone bill to ABN at beth@austbook.net or (07) 3290 3851. If possible, also make a note for us of when any mobiles come off contract. Click here to view a sample of the report that we provide to you.
  4. ABN will analyse your client’s bill and will email you a report showing the indicative savings through Lion Telecom. If the savings are pronounced, we will also include in the email the relevant forms for signing up your client. We’ll complete these for you as much as we can.
  5. Present the report to your client and if they are happy, arrange their signature and return the forms to us.
It’s that easy. ABN and Lion Telecom will take it from there.
 
Test Drive the Lion Telecom Savings with your own Business
 
With any new product and service offering, it is understandable that you may  be wary of putting forward your valued clients. If this is the case, then why not send in your own business’ telephone bill and we will perform our analysis on it. This gives you a chance to test drive the process on your own affairs before putting forward actual clients.
 
You do not need to complete an Application to Become a Lion Telecom Referrer if you are only test driving the process with your own business. Instead, simply email or fax your most recent telephone bill to ABN at beth@austbook.net or (07) 3290 3851. If possible, also make a note for us of when any mobiles come off contract.
