The BAS Agent Laws commence on Monday 1 March 2010. From this date forward, ABN BAS will be taking over the role previously played by ABN in administering the BAS Wizard Partner Program.

The main service offering of ABN BAS relates to the Quality Assurance Review of Activity Statements for both BAS Agents and non-BAS Agents, and the lodgement of Activity Statements with the ATO for non-BAS Agents. Please read our Fact Sheet for further information.

A new version of BAS Wizard will be used from 1 March 2010, with this version available for the Members Area of the ABN BAS Website.

 

We recognise, however, that many of our members will still be dealing with BASs for the period ended 31 January 2010 and earlier, and that inevitably, some of these will flow through to us in the days and weeks following 1 March. To assist with as smooth a transition as possible, the following approach will be adopted ... between 1 March 2010 and 31 March 2010, BASs received by ABN that relate to periods ended 31 January 2010 and earlier will continue to be certified under ABN"s BAS Wizard Partner Program using BAS Wizard Version 7.

In all other cases, the new Quality Assurance Review and BAS Lodgement service from ABN BAS, utilising BAS Wizard Version 8, will apply.
